I am an experienced multimedia producer, with more than a decade of experience shooting and editing video profiles, features and event coverage.
I employ creative and unique storytelling techniques, like making an old school newsreel to celebrate Northwestern University’s 160th anniversary or producing a takeoff on Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” to tell the story of a missionary priest funded by Catholic Extension.
When the Chicago Cubs won the World Series, my three brothers and I created a Cubs-themed parody of the opening song from Hamilton. The video went viral, gaining more than 130,000 views, widespread social media shares and online coverage from Sports Illustrated and a variety of Chicago area media outlets.
Throughout the pandemic in 2020, I wrote, shot, produced, promoted and streamed several online events that were usually held in-person for Mundelein Seminary. These streams received thousands of views, attracted new supporters, engaged current supporters and raised more money than the previous in-person events, even as charitable giving rates were down across the country.
I wrote, shot and produced this documentary, which aired on the Big Ten Network in November 2010.
I also produced more than 100 videos of campus life, news and events for Northwestern University from 2008-2014. Browse samples in the playlist below:
I have continued to produce videos in my roles at Catholic Extension and Mundelein Seminary. Browse samples in the playlist below:
#DownWithLumpy Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Podcast
Five years after being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, I started a podcast that provides an audio version of the blog posts I wrote throughout my cancer fight in 2015, as well as reflections from five years later. You can find the podcast on all major podcasting platforms by searching for “Down With Lumpy.”
